Vincent W. Yeung, M.D., serves as director of Flushing Radiation Oncology Services and brings over 30 years of experience and expertise as a board certified radiation oncologist. His experiences in clinical leadership roles have included director and attending physician of several radiation oncology facilities in the New York City area.

Alan Katz, M.D., obtained his B.A. from Yale University and M.D. from New York University. He served as Acting Chair at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine's Department of Radiation Oncology from 1991 to 1992, and as Director of Radiation Oncology at the Winthrop Hospital from 1993 to 2010. As a world-renowned expert in Cyberknife treatment, Dr. Katz has taught physicians to use the CyberKnife System in India, the U.S., Taiwan, Korea, and Thailand. Elisa J. Wu, M.D., is a board certified radiation oncologist specializing in the treatment of adult cancers, including breast cancer, Hodgkin’s and Non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas, and cancers of the prostate, brain, gastrointestinal tract, lung, as well as a variety of other malignancies. Her clinical expertise involves the use of sophisticated technology and advanced treatment planning to deliver precise radiation therapy, optimizing the outcome for each patient while minimizing side effects.

Dr. Wu received her medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine. She was formerly an attending physician at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, a world-renowned facility where she had also completed her residency and fellowship. She is multilingual, being fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese, and Taiwanese. Dr. Wu brings state-of-the-art cancer care to patients in our community.

Helen Li, M.D., Ph.D., board certified in Radiation Oncology, earned her medical degree from Peking Union Medical College, the most prestigious medical school in China. With a special interest in the mechanism of cancer chemotherapy, she also obtained a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Li completed her Radiation Oncology training at Montefiore Medical Center-Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She was recognized with the AACR Travel Award from the American Association for Cancer Research in 1995 and a research award from the New York Roentgen Society in 1999.

Dr. Li has served as an attending physician at 21st Century Oncology for the past ten years. She has extensive experience in the use of IMRT, IGRT, Brachytherapy, Stereotactic Radiosurgery, and Stereotactic body radiotherapy for treatment of a variety of malignancies.

Isaiah Friedman, M.D., completed his undergraduate studies at Yeshiva University, graduating summa cum laude with a B.A. in philosophy. He earned his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where he was appointed a Gamble Scholar. Dr. Friedman completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, where he also served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Friedman's published research has focused on late toxicities of radiation therapy, and he has been invited to present his findings at national medical conferences. He has special expertise in intensity-modulated and image-guided radiation therapy (IMRT/IGRT), stereotactic brain and body radiation therapy (SRS and SBRT), and high dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy. He is an active member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology.

Josephine Kang, M.D., Ph.D., obtained her M.D. from New York University School of Medicine, where she also received a Ph.D. in microbiology for her research in DNA damage and repair. She completed her residency training at the Harvard Radiation Oncology Program under the mentorship of world-renowned radiation oncology subspecialists. She is a recipient of the prestigious 2011 Women in Cancer Research Award from the American Association of Cancer Research, and has authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and several book chapters, including a chapter in the upcoming edition of Perez and Brady's Practice and Principles of Radiation Oncology. She is knowledgeable in the appropriate application of 3D-CRT, IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, SRS, brachytherapy and proton therapy.

Dr. Kang takes care to thoroughly discuss the details of each patient's medical condition as well as the best available treatment options. She is fluent in Korean.
