CyberKnife can treat a tumor virtually anywhere in the body thanks to its pinpoint precision and accuracy. It is a safe, painless outpatient procedure that doesn't carry the risks and complications associated with conventional surgery.

The CyberKnife system locates the tumor in your body using sophisticated imaging technology. Your doctor then utilizes CyberKnife computer technology to evaluate the unique shape and location of your tumor and determine how to target it with up to 1,200 radiation beams.

During treatment, CyberKnife accurately delivers the very concentrated beams to your tumor from multiple positions and angles while continually checking and correcting for any body movement, including breathing during treatment. Its precision leaves your healthy surrounding tissue unharmed. The result is a painless procedure with minimal side effects and virtually no recovery time. You are awake and relaxed through your entire treatment session, which takes anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes. Afterward, you are free to leave and resume normal daily activities.
